AP Exams will be administered May 1 through May 12, 2017. All AP Exams must be paid for and ordered in advance.

REGISTRATION FOR MAY 2017 AP EXAMS WILL RUN FROM:

  • Fall Semester: December 6 through December 30, 2016
  • Spring Semester: February 15 through March 10, 2017

Please keep in mind that many colleges will award credit for AP test scores of 3 or higher. Farragut HS therefore recommends that you participate in taking the exam(s).  You will have the option of sending scores to colleges you may want to attend.

1. The cost of each AP Exam is $93.00 each. Please read through the information below and then click on “Register for AP Exams” to submit your order.

Homeschooled students are welcome to test with the FHS Students. Please note that the cost for an exam for a homeschooled student will be $128.

2. Late Registration for exams opens on March 11 and runs through March 18. There will be a $20 late fee (PER EXAM) for registration during the Late Registration period. After March 18 there will be no registration available.

3. Payment for exams may be done via credit card or debit card, OR by mailing in a check or money order. There will be an online payment fee of 3% for payments submitted by credit or debit card. Directions for payment can be found at the end of the online registration form and in your e-mail confirmation which will be sent to the parent email address you provide on the registration form.

4. Fee reductions are possible for qualified students. If you feel you may qualify for a fee reduction, please submit the AP Fee Waiver Application Form (Linked here) to Ms. Bolinger or Ms. Bast in the counseling office. Once  eligibility has been confirmed, you will be provided with a Fee Reduction Code that will  reduce the price of the exam(s) on the registration form to the appropriate amount.

5. Students who place an AP Exam order and decide to cancel on or before midnight on March 10, 2017, will receive a 50% refund. Refund/cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to cancel@aptestservice.com and include the student name, name of the exam to cancel, and the name of your school.

6. Special Note Regarding AP Computer Science: Per College Board regulations, only students who have submitted the required in-class assessment may register for the AP Computer Science Principles exam.

7. College and universities with AP Credit Policies can be found on the College Board’s website at https://apstudent.collegeboard.org/creditandplacement – It is the student’s responsibility to verify that the college they plan to attend will accept AP credit and submit scores to their university/college of choice.

AP exam program information is available in the College Board “AP Bulletin for Students and Parents.”  Paper copies of this bulletin will be available in the FHS Counseling Office as of mid-February.  Students are encouraged to pick up a copy at that time.
